Admissions in MCM

Distribution of seats :-   The induction is carried out in class VIII. Students are inducted on the basis of quota decided by GHQ for the wards of Army Officers / Soldiers i.e. both serving and retired/released (70% seats for the wards of JCOs/Soldiers and 30% for the wards of officers) and 10 seats in each class are for the wards of Civil Armed Forces (serving only) and civilians on open merit. There are 90 seats in each entry. 

Eligibility :-   The eligibility criteria is as under: -

•    Candidate should be a student of Class VII (Candidate must have passed class VII before joining the college.
•    Candidate studying in class VIII can also apply.
•    Candidate should be between 12 to 14 years of age on 1st April in the year of admission.
•    Candidate must be medically fit.

  Note :- Wavier of up to 90 days (more or less than the desired age) is admissible with the approval of competent authority.
• Admission Test :-     Written test is conducted at the following stations:-

  Punjab	MCM / Rawalpindi / Lahore / Multan / Kharian / Sialkot / Gujranwala / Jhelum / Okara / Bahawalpur / Sargodha.
  Sindh	Karachi / Pano Aqil / Hyderabad.
  KPK	Peshawar / Abbottabad
  Balochistan	Quetta
  Gilgit Baltistan	Gilgit
  AJ & K	Muzaffarabad

  Syllabus and written test :-
• English   Mathematics and General Science (Maths 75% & General Science 25%)
• Urdu and Islamiat ( Urdu 75%, Islamiat 25% - Pakistan Studies for non-     Muslims)
• The result of Written Test is communicated only to the candidates, who meet the requisite merit.

  Selection Procedure :- The selection is based on the performance/ grading of a candidate in the following:-

•    Written test
•    Intelligence test
•    Interview
•    Medical Examination at CMH/MH

Note :-  Cadets of Military College Murree are bonded to join Army. Academically sound cadets may also join NUST and Army Medical College as Technical Cadets.

Submission of Application :-   Prospectus are made available at Army Selection & Recruitment Centers. Application of admission must be submitted on the prescribed admission form attached to the prospectus. Advertisement for admission is given in main newspapers during July / Aug every year. Admission test is conducted at various stations in the month of October / November.
